Donato is a lifeguard at Praia do Futuro, and his younger brother, Ayrton, is his greatest admirer. One day, two German tourists are caught by the current, but Donato manages to save only Konrad. The two fall in love, and Donato moves to Berlin with Konrad. Years later, Ayrton sets out in search of his brother, whom he hasn't seen since his departure for Berlin. Futuro Beach is a visual poem about the courage required to embrace our own fears and desires.
