Moonfish

Before her wedding, Maria João has doubts and decides to return the boat she had received to her Spanish fiancé. Aboard the sailboat Zéfiro, she crosses southern Portugal and a mysterious, metaphorical, and poetic Andalusia, in a film composed of "two summers separated by half a dozen years, the years marking the end of youth," as director José Álvaro Morais put it. Maria João’s impulsive and hasty journey becomes a kind of road movie.
