During the premiere of Manderlay at Cannes, a supposed film critic interrupts Lars von Trier in the middle of the screening insisting on introducing himself as a businessman. Initially appearing merely as a spectator oblivious to theater etiquette, this absurd episode escalates into the most brutal dark humor. Occupations is a segment of Chacun son cinéma, an anthology film produced to mark the 60th anniversary of the Cannes Film Festival.
