Young Perhan lives in a gypsy ghetto with his grandmother, uncle and sister. The family's livelihood comes from the grandmother's healing powers and the sale of limestone. Perhan is in love with his neighbor, but his economic condition leads her mother to refuse his repeated requests for marriage. A lyrical look at the exotic culture of the Gypsy community and the natural destruction of childhood dreams, where comedy and tragedy merge with realism and fantasy.
