Young Perhan lives in a gypsy ghetto with his grandmother, his uncle and his sister. Their only sources of income are the grandmother’s healing powers and the sale of limestone. Perhan is in love with his neighbour but her mother rejects his constant marriage proposals because of his limited means. A lyrical look over the exotic culture of the gypsy community and the natural destruction of childhood dreams, where tragedy and comedy merge with realism and fantasy.
