Five Parisian students, members of a Maoist group, discuss the implications of the Chinese Cultural Revolution and the possibility of resorting to terrorism to ignite a similar revolutionary process in the West. A visually stunning collage of slogans and posters, the film explores the sincerity and naivety of the political fervour that characterised the Parisian youth of the 1960s, in a work that is both comic and disconcerting.
