The Black Land

In a rural area of the province of Valencia, María returns to work with her brother at the family mill she left as a young woman. While his friends delight in relishing María’s failed life, the arrival of Miquel, a reserved ex-prisoner, sparks an unexpected bond between them. His presence, however, arouses fear in the community: Miquel has not only served time in prison but also possesses a mystical side that gives him influence over others.
