Exiled for twenty-five years, Hala Al-Abdallah reflects on loss and resilience in a personal exploration of her homeland, Syria. The director interweaves conversations with three friends, who also left the country for France years earlier, and images of her husband, Youssef Abdelki, a painter, contemplating the power of poetry and the poetic in everyday life, while lamenting the relentless passage of time through the voice of inner exile.
