Henry Fool

The first chapter of a trilogy, Henry Fool follows Simon Grim, an introverted young garbage man who meets the mysterious writer and ex-con Henry Fool, who inspires him to write everything that crosses his mind. Thus is born a poetic prodigy, a controversial author who must deal with the consequences of his own change. The path of ambition is observed through Hartley's humor, perhaps at its darkest.
