The Gheorghius, a deeply religious Romanian-Norwegian couple, resettle in a village set in a distant fjord where they become close to their neighbors. Their children bond despite their different education. But when teenager Elia Gheorghiu arrives at school with bruises on her body, the community places the family under scrutiny — in yet another example of Cristian Mungiu’s robust realism.
