David Cronenberg is back with a movie that promises to leave everyone talking. In Crimes of the Future the Canadian director returns to the origins of his cinema touching themes of science fiction, dystopia and technological evolution.

The narrative occurs in a near future where the human species has evolved to adapt to a synthetic environment. Humans are now capable of adapting their bodies through transformations and mutations. Within this new reality, the celebrity performance artist Saul Tenser (Viggo Mortensen) and his partner Caprice (Léa Seydoux) make public showcases of the artist's organs metamorphosing. Timlin (Kristen Stewart), an investigator from the National Organ Registry, obsessively tracks their movements, but discovers the involvement of a mysterious group with the mission to use Saul's notoriety to shed light on the next phase of human evolution.
