Abdellatif Kechiche is a French screenwriter, actor and director of Tunisian origin. His films Games of Love and Chance and The Secret of the Grain, both of which received several César and FIPRESCI awards, cemented his international reputation. In 2013, his bravest and perhaps most controversial film to date - Blue is the Warmest Colour - received the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival, an event that highlighted Kechiche’s role as one of the most relevant directors of today.
