Camille Claudel

Paris, 1885: young sculptor Camille Claudel becomes the apprentice, and later assistant, of the famous Auguste Rodin. When she becomes her master’s lover, she falls from grace within the midst of the Parisian society. After fifteen years of a torturous relationship with Rodin, Camille breaks up the romance and sinks into loneliness and madness. Her younger brother, author Paul Claudel, takes the initiative to check her into a mental institution, in 1912.
