The Story of my Wife

Jacob Störr (Gijs Naber), a captain in the navy, makes a bet with a friend: he will marry the first woman who enters the cafe where they meet. That's when Lizzy arrives (Léa Seydoux). 

The suspicion of infidelity and Lizzy's visible attraction to Dedin (Louis Garrel) threaten to condemn the captain to madness. Adapted from Hungarian poet Milán Füst's book with the same title, The Story of My Wife, the return of fascinating Hungarian director Ildikó Enyedi brings together all the necessary elements – love, loss and madness – to a grand but tragic romance.
