Three decades after the Spanish Civil War, Diego, a Communist Party militant, lives in exile in France. Acting as an intermediary between exiled activists and those remaining in Spain, he regularly crosses the border under false pretenses. Returned to Paris after a difficult mission, he begins to reflect on his actions, coming into conflict with his own comrades. A political, autobiographical thriller (by writer Jorge Semprún) about the revolutionary fervor and shattered dreams of a generation.
