A dynamic intervention in the development of the new generations
  • Special events

Monsieur Hulot, director Jacques Tati’s comical and unmistakable character, is an inveterately clumsy man who ventures on a journey along the road. Adventures, several dangers and many laughs! We will learn the traffic rules, help Monsieur Hulot reach his house safely and make an animated movie. The end result will be displayed and receive an award at a special  session in the Lisbon & Estoril Film Festival, sponsored by ACP.

This year, and because the LEFFEST is concerned with its social responsibility and dynamic intervention in the development of the new generations, we will present a programme for the children, in association with ACP – Automóvel Clube de Portugal.

Intended to raise awareness for road safety, the invited schools will create short animated films on this subject, based on Jacques Tati’s film TRAFIC.  During the week of the festival, from Monday to Friday, the LEFFEST will host a different group of 10 children each morning. This initiative will finish on Saturday (the 14th) with a screening, for the children, parents and friends, of the films directed by the groups. The session will be open to the public at ESPAÇO NIMAS, with participation prizes awarded by the ACP.
